Stress measurement in aviation

Stress measurement is quantifying psychological stress
in levels and scores through a scale or system.  The purpose of Stress Measurement in aviation is
to collect data to improve psychological stress coping and Stress Management for
aviators.
Aviation as an industry requires a high level of precision at
all time, hence creating large amount of Stress in the aviation industry, ultimately
decreasing performance and compromising safety. In order to cope and manage
stress, aviators need effective tools to analyze stress specifically for
aviation purposes. Stress measurement systems provided variety of tools for aviation
type of working environment and related stressors, ultimately benefiting
aviation human factors.〔

Before measuring stress levels, stress is often being broken
down into workloads to further explore the stressors. Stressor is a stimulus source that induce and cause stress to trigger a stress response. By measuring workloads, stress can easily be identified by stressors and applied into Stress Measurement system. The aviation
industry also adapted this technique before applying stress measurement system.
